Entry-Level Snow Grooming
In the beginner's training courses for anyone PRO ACADEMY teaches important, theoretical and practical basics concerning the snow groomer. The theoretical and practical components of the operator training course are independent modules, but the theoretical component is a prerequisite for the practical operator training.
In the theoretical operator training course, beginners acquire basic knowledge in the areas of snow groomers, operators and slopes. The course content ranges from the technical details of how a snow groomer works and how to operate the vehicle correctly to the basics of slope grooming. The training focuses on using an efficient driving style, one that is gentle on the machine and environment, and on handling the vehicle safely. At the end of the training course, after the exam is passed, the PRO ACADEMY issues a Level 1.0 certificate.
In the practical component of the operator training course, the participants spend a day learning to operate a PistenBully under the direction of a PRO ACADEMY trainer. Here the participants are taught how to use the vehicle safely, efficiently and in a manner that conserves resources – for example, when restoring worn slope sections or optimizing snow reserves. The goal of the practical operator training is to prepare the participants as best as possible for their career as a snow groomer operator.
