PRO ACADEMY Camp 2024
Recap!
Laupheim, 12/17/2024. As every year, numerous technical training courses were held at the company headquarters in Laupheim from the beginning of October to the end of November: In vehicle-specific technical training courses, the almost 60 technicians from 23 ski resorts learned the necessary know-how to carry out maintenance and repairs more efficiently and economically. Of course, they also learned “outside” at the branches and in the ski resorts. Numerous training courses will be held again next year.
Whether at the PRO ACADEMY Camp in Sölden, Italy, or Switzerland – the demand for training for managers, drivers, and mechanics was again so high that the offering was extended. As a result, a second LEVEL 1.0 (Theory) training was organized in Italy for private individuals. In Switzerland, the technical training courses were fully booked, with the SNOWsat training being particularly well attended.
The participants of the practical driver training at the PRO ACADEMY Camp in Sölden were particularly diverse: The camps are aimed at both beginners and advanced participants who want to get the most out of machine and software in their daily operations – with profitable exchanges included. Speaking of “beginners”: While the majority of participants were specifically sent by their employers for further education, around 20% stood out for attending on their own initiative – either because they were simply curious and excited to drive a PistenBully, or because they were actively job hunting and wanted to prepare for their applications by attending the PRO ACADEMY Camp.
On the other side, the “old hands”: “It’s sometimes a real challenge to advise long-time drivers and convince them of my tricks that make grooming easier, more efficient, and sustainable,” smiles Anthony Bowman, one of the most experienced PRO ACADEMY trainers. “So, I’m supposed to show PistenBully drivers with 20 years of experience, including World Cups all over the world, how to drive a PistenBully?” Of course – Anthony developed specific tasks and scenarios tailored to their daily work with the goal of further improving their skills. At the end of the training, both drivers were visibly impressed by the new techniques and insights they had gained as part of the PRO ACADEMY program – and freely admitted that they were quite impressed and really took something valuable away!
Strengthening the team of trainers: With the experience and support of Arnold Holl (center), Marvin Seibezeder (left) and Ilias Panagiotakis are strengthening the SNOWsat training division. Arnold Holl, as the former long-time managing director of the Jungholz ski resort, was one of the SNOWsat pioneers and knows the solutions in detail. He has been involved in the development of SNOWsat solutions from the very beginning and brings the customer perspective. In the future, Ilias Panagiotakis will conduct SNOWsat training in Germany and the rest of the world. Marvin Seibezeder is a driver and SNOWsat trainer in Austria.
